Amanda got her driving licence at the age of 16. On her 16th birthday in fact.

When she was 22, while driving in her BMW in Los Angeles, she had a collision with another vehicle in which another driver received minor injuries.

"Ms. Bynes was driving a BMW when she made an unsafe turn and another car hit her," LAPD Sgt. Murrel Pettway told PEOPLE. "It was determined that she was at fault, but no crime was committed."

"The other driver complained of minor injuries," Sgt. Pettway added. "Drugs and alcohol were not involved. It was just a typical car accident. There was no serious damage to either vehicle."

Driving Parallells

I see many parallells with my and my family life and with Amandas life - I know that makes me sound like a stalker but that is the way it is!

My daughter learning to drive at the moment, and a reasonably well publicised car accident that Amanda Bynes was involved in brings back memories of my own driving disasters and therefore fears about Stephs (my daughers) driving. When Amanda was 22, she was involved in a reasonably minor car accident in which another driver sustained minor injuries. But as stated above, it was decided that she was at fault but that no crime had been committed.
