Amanda Bynes

'Canned' star Amanda Bynes has many close followers thanks to her acting ability and stunning good looks.

Born on the 3rd April 1986, Amanda is the youngest of three children. An ambitious girl, she got her driving licence on the 3rd April 2002, the same day as her 16th birthday.

Having won numerous awards from film festivals, magazines top 100 women and such things, Amanda is no stranger to being the centre of attention, and nearly all of it being good attention. Here are just a few of her nominations and awards.

  • Won the Blimp Award in 2004 for Favourite Movie Actress in What A Girl Wants
  • Won the Blimp Award in 2002 for Favourite Television Actress in The Amanda Show
  • Won the Blimp Award in 2003 for Favourite Movie Actress in Big Fat Liar
  • Number 15 in the Maxim Hot List 2010

    The Lion King Musical

I have been priveleged enough to have been able to visit The Lion King in Londons Lyceum Theatre. Magical. The atmosphere was electric. Having seen something of the show on TV and video prior to going to the show in person, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up all the more when the lights dimmed and the music began.

There seemed to be two of the royal boxes in the theatre taken up specifically for African style percussion, which again really added to the atmosphere.

I found the characters to be 'casted' in to humans wonderfully, in a very creative manner, mainly because of the difference in size that is required for each of the animals. For example the Puffin creature had to seem to be smaller than a lion, while both being played by people. On the note of characters, I think that one of the things that nearly everyone would take away from the theatre was the appearance of a life sized elephant that walked sown the isle, which must have contained at least 4 people to support it and walk in it.

Although it was certainly not a cheap night out, it was certainly a special one, and one that I would happily pay for again for the experience, as I doubt it would lose the magic in a hurry.

    Driving Parallells

I see many parallells with my and my family life and with Amandas life - I know that makes me sound like a stalker but that is the way it is!

My daughter learning to drive at the moment, and a reasonably well publicised car accident that Amanda Bynes was involved in brings back memories of my own driving disasters and therefore fears about Stephs (my daughers) driving.

(As a little bit of an aside I did happen to find the cheapest driving lessons in Kings Lynn!!) But when Amanda was 22, she was involved in a reasonably minor car accident in which another driver sustained minor injuries. It was decided that she was at fault but that no crime had been committed. A relief, I am sure!
